Vinia Mojica Tribute – The Mint Collective

Artwork: Darrell Alonzi

Have you heard of Vinia Mojica?  If you think not, it might be true that you don’t know her name – but I bet you know her voice.  This Bronx native has been on the hip hop scene since 1989 first working the Jungle Brothers and since then has collaborated with Common, Mos Def, Native Tongues, Mary J, Ge-ology, Hi-Tek, Jneiro Jarel and many more.  To pay homage to this amazing vocalist who until this day doesn’t have a full body of work released we put a mixtape together.  We’ve compiled some of Vinia’s stand-out tracks and enlisted the help of our Los Angeles minty fam, DJ Seano for the blending and mixdown skills.  We are proud to present a tribute to the lovely and talented Ms. Vinia Mojica.  Download the full mix here, stream below and please feel free to share with anyone you think might enjoy.
